MaKenna with her 2 Blue Ribbons!

Congratulations MaKenna!  My friend MaKenna won two first place ribbons in her first horse show!  She went in two walk-trot classes and did great.  In walk-trot classes, you walk and trot and halt your horse or pony.  When the class is done, you line up in front of the judge.  Then they call out which number gets which ribbon.  The colors for the ribbons are:
First place:  Blue
Second place: Red
Third place: Yellow
Fourth place: White
Fifth place: Pink
Sixth place: Green

Below you can see MaKenna with her two blue ribbons because she won first place two times!

Great job, MaKenna!

MaKenna trotting over poles

In some walk-trot classes, you trot over some poles on the ground.  This is good practice for when you start jumping.  It teaches you to go straight and keep your eyes up.

Here is MaKenna trotting over poles in her horse show.  Yaaaayyyy MaKenna!  Nice Job!

my horse Treker got 5th AND 1st place in his Dressage tests @the Chemung county fair Aug.1,2,3,2008

also Treker got third and fourth in his hunter class in April 2008.

nice job Treker!

In a horse show, you should wear a velvet helmet, jodphers or breeches, white long sleeved shirt, two braids or a hair net, spurs if you need them, and a smile!
